A whole new adventure...

An expression of my thoughts and feelings on my OT journey, both personal and professsional.

Monday, monday, monday.

Was a really brilliant day!!
Got up, and ready, and was in a really good mood, even despite the torrential rain I walked to work in.
Got in, went to a briefing, and was given a patient to do an initial KOPAL assessment on all by my self. Hand wrote the soap note, had it checked by michelle, and amended slightly, and then typed up and submitted. Was really proud of the fact it wasn't amended much, just a couple of points elaborated on.
Tomorrow I get chucked in to the deep end, as I get to do a few more on the wards with the KOPAL nurse.
I really feel like a baby OT now! :-D

I'm hopefully going to get to swap with the other student so I can do a shift in A&E, which should be exciting!!!
I didn't get lost today, and even managed to find the ward by myself too! And getting used to the 70 Odd stairs from the entrance to the office. I much prefer going down the stairs hah! But I guess the exercise will do me good!!
I've got my first supervision tomorrow, which I'm looking forward to, as I'd like some formal idea of how I'm doing.

I think I'm gunna be just fine, I've got my special necklace on, keeping an eye on me!

xx
