My first week!

Was good!! I got lost a lot!! I've enjoyed it!! However, only 4/7 because I couldn't go in today because of a 'bug'. That's what I get for working on wards with sick and infectious people! I can't believe I didn't even last a week!!
I've experienced sooooo much!! And learning somuch too!! I honestly think I've learnt more in four days, than I have since I started uni, so I can't see my placement experience being anything but amazing!
Just getting to see a practical application of everything I've learn really makes me know it's this that I want to do! I need to brush up on all the abbreviations that are used, there are just that many!!! Ax = Assessment. Pt= patient, PT=physio, Hx= history, (A)=assistance, (I)=independent etc.
I am still getting lost, although I have a better grasp of where my locker room and office are, although finding a ward would be impossible without the sign posts!!

Although I picked up a bug on Thursday, D&V Thursday night, and pain all day today. Although I'm feeling better now, has knocked me for 6, and scared me!! I will have my flu jab next week, too scared not too!!
I'm not feeling home sick, but I miss my girls, and the ease of just going down the corridor to see someone. And I got so used to seeing people at home every other day like Sammi and Ben... It's lonely being here.

Just watched a programme on emigrating to Australia...it looks tempting..haha!
