First day with completely clear blue skies and sunshine in oxford 2011...

...even if it was only 7°C today! Although once you are sheltered it was pleasantly warm.
It was such a nice day that I walked to Headington to visit the Warneford. Taking part in psychology studies for Oxford uni graduates. I'm participating in one on depression and pleasure centres or something. I spent about 30 mins being initially interviewed and filling in questionnaires and visited today to run through the experiment before the real thing. My appointment is on Wednesday. I am to be in an MRI scanner and am going to be given chocolate or strawberry tasting syrup stuff though a tube whilst looking at images on a screen. I think have to rate things on a scale. Takes about 40 minutes. I get debriefed and re-do a questionnaire. So for under 2 hours work I get £50 and a free taxi to and from the hospital. Think I've found how I'm gunna make money at uni :P

Is this not the poshest looking MaccyDs ever?!?!
Met jazzy outside the uni and we went exploring headington, as I've never really looked around there before. It's really pretty!! Has a few pubs and restaurants - noticed an indian, so might give that one a go! There's a few shops in the town like a peacocks, boots, McDonalds, Gregs, Charity shops etc, probably a few more, I wasn't really looking at the shops to be honest! There's a nice looking pub, which Jas informed me was part of a chain that does cheap but nice food, so will have to give that one a go once I have a bit more money!!
It's quite a nice walk there too, from my halls to the main campus is about a 20 minute walk, and into headington itself must be about a 30 minute walk.

Also saw there was a park or two around there, which is nice. There's a few parks in Oxford, which is really nice. I like the fact there's still grass and trees around. Saying that right in the middle of the city centre, off the main street, through the cobbled roads there's a park, rugby pitch and churchy thing, which is beautiful. We found that by complete accident. In face Oxford is such a pretty city!
Jas told me there's a way to walk to town through a wooded path with a stream and stuff, so will venture that way over the weekend, as it only takes half an hour or so to walk to town.

Floral dress from ASOS.
Came in and sorted my emails and stuff (I'm getting about 20 or so emails a day whilst at uni - Probably about 3/4 are relevant which I respond to. It's crazy!) Tidied my room, and realised I have lost a cardi since getting to Oxford and today :-/
Done some washing up, hoovered my room. Thought I'd update this... and now I'm going to do some work and revision. Although I want to do is go for another walk whilst the weather is nice. Oh, and I had a dress arrive today (was sent a while back, only just arrived). It's another floral one - I'm guessing I'm in a flowery stage at the moment, haha!
Sorry for the angle of the pic, I was trying to get the whole thing in! I think it's really pretty, and can be dressed up or down, although it's a size 8, so I can only really wear it on a skinny day!

xx
