Researching...

OT and pedestrian road safety. I did an assessment that was requested from another ward, and it all went well. But when researching the topic I found almost nothing on it, apart from it being mentioned in a lot of LD literature saying that it is important :-/. Similarly I cannot find any standardised assessment of safety awareness etc or any existing proforma.

For my placement I have to complete a case study including history, assessment and intervention as well as goals; also have to write an additional part that includes the evidence base and research behind the intervention. So I am thinking whilst I am on placement, I may as well make the most of it and so I hopefully plan to, along side my case study, do 1:1 work with patients and either start, or take over the running of a group. So for the past few nights I have been researching group work in mental health settings.

I have many documents, articles, policies and legislation saved and highlighted on my hard drive regarding many aspects of mental health. Tonight I've been focussing on group work. My eyes feel like they are bleeding...maybe time for a break!
