Second day - Training!
I left the house at 7:50 and got to Bracknell (Where's that?!?!) at 9:30, after a thrilling 5 hours of Rio training so that I can use the note system at the hospital I am now, and a lunch in costa in a tescos, I am now the proud owner of a (second) SMART card.
Now this is a long story... It's my second as the uni asked us to go in for a practice education day where we had to bring 3 forms of ID, which I struggled to provide as I don't get utility bills and my bank statements are online, just to receive this SMART card thing. So we all go and do that, and then all leave for the two weeks off. Literally as I set foot on the island I received an email stating I had to return to Oxford to pick up the card in person, and before that complete some e-learning. When I get to my placement I get told I need to redo all of the paper work, and go on a training day for this SMART card...which I've already got. But shouldn't have apparently, as to use it you need to attend a proper training day. Which I did, today. So now I have two. And now I am getting slightly curt emails from the university about it after I emailed to enquire into what I should do with the one that I have yet to pick up. (Even if I had picked it up, it needs registering and me to have my Pin number to use is...)
Fine, whatever I don't care what's what any more, just getting fed up of getting told conflicting things, the god awful lack of/miscommunication and the general attitude of the people I've had to work with thus far just to get my placement sorted.
On the plus side, I can move into my accommodation tomorrow. Finally, yay!
xx
